Shapeless Shifting Shadows
Shapeless shifting shadows among the creaking trees I nearly lost my bladder with the shaking of my knees
Upon the mighty grave I crawled I heard a mourning cry It was the sound of darkened death I felt the piercing of my eye
Quickly upon me it pounced and gnawed I fought it tooth and nail it's claws that shredded my sweet skin then left me there impaled
My soul left my tattered body which was nothing but a shell while all along the demons laughed as I joined them there in Hell
Shapeless shifting shadows among the shifting trees Will you be the demon's next victim Or be tortured with disease.

Thanks! It isn't my typical type of poetry I prefer but I thought I did okay for the first time writing dark poetry. Not bad for a challenge.

I love the dark side when I write poems.
I guess that's the Edgar Alan in me. I loved
his Rum-soaked writing. (Probably a little Cocaine too)
Excellent effort and congradulations,
Joe
