Black Creek Crossing
Black Creek Crossing was where I died A merciless killing that wasn't suicide He lured me there with sweetness in his breath Yet the fungus he devoured me there in my death
He promised me surprises and he didn't disappoint He tore me from limb to limb and then joint by joint A ripper like Jack they called him by name He studied his victims carefully, those he would maim
He chose the creek because of the black waters there With the red blood water rising, it fit in with his snare Like a wild animal caught with no way to escape The knife blade cutting flesh while eyes stared agape
Was no use to scream for help and no hope to grasp As the killer bore down while my breath couldn’t last In the final moments before I succumbed to my death I drowned in my own blood as I gasped for my breath
Then a funny thing happened as I accepted my doom I woke up screaming on my bed in my room I searched the darkness for things that were unseen But it was only a nightmare, just a bad dream.
